My name is Ben Maxwell I am a writer, photographer, and a barbecue pitmaster in Texas. For years I’ve been fortunate to work in barbecue, where I’ve met remarkable people whose stories rarely make headlines. Somewhere along the way I realized that the most interesting part of every trip wasn’t the destination. It was the conversations, the small towns, and the ordinary moments in between.
The Texian Ordinary is my attempt to preserve those moments, one story at a time.
